Hi, What's for lunch?

I just had a banana. berry smoothie. It was good. I read something recently that was saying not to put bananas into a berry smoothie because you don't get all of the flavanoids. However, I don't see why that would be. Bananas are great in smoothies and help thicken them..so I have no plans to stop. What did you have? Do you enjoy banana, berry smoothies?

I have protein powder here. It is. Chocolate cream flavor. It reminds me of Alba if you remember that or Slim Fast.

@snowy22315 Ours is a powder too and chocolate flavor. It reminds me of Carnation Instant Breakfast and yeah maybe a bit like Slim Fast. Haven’t had either in years. Do you remember Ovaltine ? I don’t recall Alba.

@Tampa_girl7 Yeah, never had Ovaltine much though. We used to buy Nestles Quick back in the day. Yeah, instant breakfast oldie but a goodie.

I had a Meals on Wheels lunch -- meatball sub, mushrooms, green beans and grapes. I've never had a smoothie. Hope you have a great holiday weekend.

Your lunch sounds tasty. I am wondering whether my parents should consider meals on wheels..I am not sure they eat that well honestly

@LindaOHio I don't see them going for it, but I could bring it up It seems like hen I am talking to them they are always eating either tuna sandwiches or pizza. My mother hasn't been into cooking much these days.

@snowy22315 I think it's a good idea. The cost is $2.50 per meal or free. You don't have to pay if you don't want to or if you can't afford it. We always pay.

I had BBQ chicken bites from Sonic. I actually had them for breakfast, but also saved some for lunch.

I have read that adding banana to a berry smoothies reduces the flavonoids by 84%. As I do not make smoothies I have not investigated more.

I just had a cream cheese and fig spread sandwich. We had a very hefty breakfast, so we're really not very hungry.

It sounds good. I don't drink smoothies very often. I'm glad you enjoyed it and will continue to use bananas in your smoothies.

I can’t eat bananas and seldom have a smoothie. I’d rather eat the berries and fruit.
