Down by the River / myLot

K and I have arrived and are all set up at the campground where we'll be spending this holiday weekend. We are on the row closest to the river and our back window looks out over the wetland along the river. Sadly, as soon as we were set up, K had to log into work and finish up some reports her boss asked for at the last minute even though he knew she was leaving at noon to start her short vacation. Higher-ups at her company have 0 idea of what work-life balance means. Still, it's better to be here along the river than stuck in an office at the plant. What are your plans for this weekend? If you're in the US, are you doing anything special for the holiday?

Oh lovely now DW..glad you are there and such a lovely spot. Poor Kay..that boss yeah..dang bosses. No plans here..new manager at the complex so we shall see what excitement lays in store now. It is so hot here.

Along the river sounds lovely. It's a holiday in Canada too. I think I am picking, blanching and freezing beans. Other garden stuff . But I'm taking 4 days off next week to head to the mountains.

Since Mike has been retired all weekends are like "holiday weekends"

Going to church on Sunday, watching US Open tennis, resting. A quiet weekend. What we love.

That really is too bad they bothered her on her time away. I am glad she'll be able to enjoy Monday off, at least. I'm not doing much on Monday. I'll probably just impatiently wait for Tuesday.

I will probably do work for most part. I take breaks though because they can't make me work all the time. I hope you guys have fun, catch a catfish for me. Fun fact, 99 percent of higher ups have no clue what work life balance means. Meanwhile they say they work nonstop, yeah in their nice digs with nice food and nice clothes and nice shelter in a Jacuzzi, going how can we get our workers to make us more money?

Other than K working the first few hours we were here, it's been enjoyable. We took the dogs for a walk down to the dock before dinner, cooked dinner on the grill, and took a walk around the campground after dinner.
