Love and attachment

Love. Love is an emotion- a special feeling of cognizance, appreciation, coalescence for someone. The exquisite interlacing of two souls is like the seamless latte art. Two people in love compliment each other like milk and coffee. They take vows to be companions for life. They adore, admire and love each other. But what comes along is attachment. Like the shadow inseparable from the body, attachment tiptoes hand-in-hand with love. Attachment can make us do pivotal and seemingly arduous things. Attachment can give us a reason to live as well as snatch away that reason from us thereby catapulting us towards death. So many things can go wrong in love. Dodging the familiar ones of mistrust, cheating, abuse there's still something which might sound too far-fetched and futuristic for some. It is the question to you all as well. How does one cope up with death of their beloved partner for life? The vows of togetherness all gone haywire- the emotional covenants of spending the rest of the life together- everything- makes no sense anymore. How does one cope up with the demise of their loved one?

Not everyone reacts the same way. Those very strong mourn in silence and move on, even if the pain remains forever.

Yes. When one loses a loved one, they are forced to find how strong they are in reality. I don't want that ever. These thoughts cross my mind at times when I am unoccupied. May be I am bit anxious by nature.

You live your life one day at a time as best you can. Life will never be the same again.

@Dreamerby Glad to hear about your nice explanation of love. By reading it , some past incidents & practices flew around me I am speaking about SATI practice was there in India once . I have read in childhood days but not that much clear about that .... Freedom fighter Raja Ram Mohan Roy raised voice against this ruthless practice & fought against SATI He also won & it was banned in all states of India I think he bluntly spoke that widows no need to be an individual & remarry The topic to speak about LOVE is not a drop but larger than Ocean According to me Love is Selflessness Self is lovelessness Have a good day

Love is selflessness true. Those who fall in love have to live with the fear of losing their loved one someday. And yes Sati was a practice. Banned during british rule.
