Today is the birth anniversary of India's 2nd President Sarbapalli Radha Krishan. He was a great Professor. His birth anniversary is celebrated as teacher's day in India today on 5th september. I wish happy teacher's day to all the teachers in every part of the world. For me the best teacher had been my mother and father. They were instrumental in my build up as right from language to communication they taught me the art of surviving in this world.

@sathviksouvik @ptirkha_2 No, we don't have a special day for teachers but it's a nice idea.

And an important fact is that Dr. Radhakrishnan was the Indian President during the teo turbulent Indian wars-
The Indo China war of 1962 and the Indo Pak 1965 war.

In current times, we seem to lack that environment.
Both the ruling party and the opposition seem keen to argue on petty issues at times!

Happy Teacher's Day wishes one day afterwards.
Yes, there are no better teachers than Father and Mother.
The reason behind starting this day was a noble one.
However at the cost of sounding a bit disappointing and perhaps a bit harsh, it has lost a bit of relevance since many folks who are into teaching are not being honest to their profession.
Greed, self interest has become too dominant.
Many don't inspire good behaviour among the kids so the kids don't have a nice feeling or respect towards them.
Of course, there are still good teachers and good students but their numbers seem to be pretty less.
So I wonder whether this day is still relevant or not.

I totally concur with you.
Perhaps we have to work and think as per the changing times!
