Today's trip to the little Tesco.

I checked the weather app before I went out to the shop, and it said 17°, 0% chance of rain! The high was 26° and the low was 13°. I checked what it was in Cardiff, and their high was 27° so it's potentially hotter in Cardiff today! My Mum told me to get some different cakes that they hadn't had before, but I was wondering if that was possible. Ofcause I didn't need to wear a coat, and when I went outside there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was a bit breezy though, so it wasn't too bad. When I got to the shop a little old lady came up to me and said, "Hello, are you still doing your art?" I said, "Yes!" She said she'd love to see some of them. She told me she lives across the road from me. I told her I'd recently been on an art course at Wall Village Hall and if I'd have known I'd have invited her to the exhibition. I told her I was going next year again with a friend, and if she reminds me I'll invite her to next years exhibition. She said, "If I'm still around!" I asked her what number she lives at and she said No.2. And I said, "Oh, the large house on the corner? We wanted that house but my step-dad said it was too much for the mortgage!" She said, "Oh, that must have been a long time ago," she said, "My husband died ten years ago now, and we'd been living here quite a while." I said, " Yes, well we moved into our house in 1997." I asked her if she had a little dog, I remember seeing her around with a little dog, and she said he died last October. He was a border terrier. And I said, ooh. And she said so now she's all alone. And I said Aah. So then I said, "Are you coming to Tesco?" and she said "Yes". So we went in. We both got our baskets and the lady said she'd only come in for a couple of things. So she went to get her stuff, and I went to get mine. I got 2 TV magazines as usual, and a bounty bar for my step-dad. Then I got myself an areo. Then I went to get some strawberries, and the little old lady was there getting some plums. When I picked up the strawberries, the little old lady (I forget what she said her name was.) said that the strawberries were very tasty. The little old lady went off to get some milk, and I got some Alpen with no added sugar for my Mum. When I came to the cakes, I looked for something different and saw some cream slices. They are only small, so I got those. Then I got myself a purple notebook. After that I went and got 2 bottles of milk and then I went to pay. The little old lady was at the till paying for her two items and she turned round and waved at me before she went. There was one gentleman in front of me and then it was my turn to pay. It came to just over £15. After I'd payed I set off for home. It was a bit hotter on the way home because there wasn't as much breeze. When I got in I gave my Mum her change and her Tesco club card. I can't remember if I gave her her list back, so I'll go and check later, and when I do I'll go and fetch my electric fan again because I'm cooking here! I also told my Mum about seeing the little old lady from No.2. I asked her if she knew what her name is but she can't remember either, even though she told her her name when she helped my Mum back home once when she looked a bit exhausted! Anyway, I unpacked the groceries and put them away, and now I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer again. What are you getting up to? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

The poor lady must be lonely with having lost her husband and dog. I’m glad she had such a good interaction with you though. Hopefully, you will see her again. I’m just waiting for the day to progress (it’s 5:55am right now) so I can go to the doctor, then the grocery store, and then hopefully the pharmacy. I’ll be relieved to be done with it all.

Yes, I know, that's what I was thinking. Thank you very much, it was nice to talk to her. I'm hoping to go over to her house sometime to show her some of my drawings and paintings. You're up early again. This morning I heard the alarm go off at 8:00am but I thought it was parr of my dream! I knew it was the alarm subconsciously, and eventually I thought, in my dream, Oh, no, that's the alarm, (because in my dream I thought it was something else!) but I didn't wake up properly, and then when I did wake up it was 8:35am! I hope your trip to the doctor is a success. Is it a routine check up, or something else? I hope you get what you need from the grocery store, and from the pharmacy. I hope you are well. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton I bet she would love to see your paintings! That’s a wonderful idea. Yes, my doctor appointment is fairly routine. This doctor makes me come in once a month. Isn’t that annoying?

That's nice that you had such a good chat with your neighbour. You'll probably seen her again from time to time. Sometimes that happens once you meet someone. You keep on seeing them here and there.

That lady must be very lonely since she doesn't even have her dog anymore. Nothing much going on here. I hope we get some rain today. Have a good day.

Have a nice day too. I enjoyed reading your conversation with the little old lady. You had a very nice flow in your chatting and those are the kind of conversations I like.

@sharonelton you are welcomed. I wonder how you remembered it later to write it on mylot. I tend to forget things I say. I had a nice chat with mom today but I can't remember it to share.

I also got some strawberries on Sunday when we went to the grocery store. The past two weeks we have been getting honeydew melons. They are so good. They are like cantaloupe melons. We also got a small watermelon. Today I did a Textbroker article. I found out last week that Textbroker is having work I could do. Also yesterday my uncle's old washer finally broke. My mother has one she had when she lived in her apartment so we are going to switch out soon.

People tend to retreat indoors and shut the door in times of pain. it was good enough you saw an opportunity and struck a good conversation with that old lady, that move really helped the old lady's loneliness. you really did a marvelous job. hope she's happy now seeing you got interested in her situation. hope you two will get along nicely.

Thank you very much. Yes, I agree. Actually, she was the one who started the conversation so I can't take the credit for that. She was interested in my paintings.
