Kids Say the Darndest Things

Do any of you remember that show that was on TV back in probably the early '60s? Was it Art Linkletter's or Danny Kaye's show? Anyway, we have the two younger kids over today. The boy went home and it's just the cute little girl. She is very polite and nice. My daughter watches her for the mom occasionally. But, I was in my bedroom and was in a bad way waiting for my grandson to get out of the bathroom. I really needed to go and I guess a few moans were heard by the girl. She came into my bedroom and asked if she could help me get up. "No, Dear, that's okay," I told her. She watched me for a few seconds and then turned to leave. She said, "You're old." And as she reached the door she continued with, "Yeah, really old."

I am not old enough to remember the Art Linkletter version of the show that you mentioned. I do remember reading the Bill Cosby book of the name of the show you mentioned.

Oh, my. Out of the mouths of babes. That is so funny and cute. The littles can get away with saying that.
Art Linkletter did the House Party. My dad watched him all the time and I'd sit with him as a kid. Bill Cosby did the Kids Say the Darndest Things. It was really funny.

I do remember that show. While that was sweet of her to offer to help you get up, her words sure did pack a punch, huh? "Out of the mouths of babes", as they say!
