Apricots

Of the dry fruits Apricots are my favourite. They are a bit hard on the teeth and so I soak them in sugar syrup and then eating them becomes a pleasure. The sun dried apricots are used in puddings and cakes. I got a few packets when I visited the USA a few years ago If you soak the dried apricots in sugar syrup you can gently remove the seeds and the deseeded apricots could be used as toppings on ice cream, jelly and fruit salads. How else can apricots be used?

@DaddyEvil I know sun dried are seedless but dried ones surely will have the seed. Would you like to check?

You can make apricot jam which is really good. I like to eat apricots just the way that they are.

If soaked they neatly separate from the seed

I would maybe throw them in a juicer and keep the rest for toppings.

@allknowing I used dried apricots a lot in meals. My wife loves them and has just discovered a variety that is much softer than usual.

Good you found the softer variety The normal dried variety cannot be eaten unless they are soaked.
