Cloudier and cloudier

We began the day with clear blue skies and cool temperatures. It wasn't to last.
Sometime after lunch, the clouds began moving in. Temps stayed moderate, reaching only 80F so far.
I've spent the day working on a 5 part short story for [u]The Fiction Writer's Den[u/]. Part 1 is already published. Part 2 is submitted. Parts 3 & 4 are uploaded as drafts. Part 5 still needs some polishing. Put together, the story is between 4 and 5 thousand words.
I hope your weekend went well. Did anything fun or interesting happen?

Is the Fiction Writer's Den included in your monthly fee? Just curious. I'm still trying to decide if I want to join. Nothing fun or interesting here. Just a quiet, no drama weekend. Enjoy your week. P. S. How do I find you on M?

Yes. The Fiction Writer's Den is included. You do have to request to be added as a writer, and there are guidelines you have to agree to follow. Those are boilerplate for the most part and the same for most publications under the Medium umbrella.
If you search M for DW Davis, it should link you to my page.

We've had a couple overcast days - much cooler now - better than triple digits! You've been busy writing! We're trying to relax this weekend . . . too much goes on during the week, so it's nice to just chill at home and try to do nothing!

Since retiring from the classroom, I've been much more productive in my writing. To be fair, a lot of the short stories I'm publishing are some I've held on to for a while because I had no time to find somewhere to publish them.
I'm glad things have cooled off for you.

You are chugging right along with the story.
This may seem a silly question, but what if they did not publish a part of that story//you would have to rewrite it or?
Nothing real interesting here but I got a chair that I can finally sit in.

If part of the story was not up to snuff or outside their guidelines, their editors would contact me and suggest changes.
I'm glad you found a good chair. I tried several office chairs before finding one I'm comfortable in for any period of time.

@RebeccasFarm The editors recommend that stories longer than 1500 words be published in parts. It seems 1500 words is the upper limit of what most people will read while perusing online.

Good luck on your story!
Not too much fun or interesting things happened here this weekend. I found out some interesting things about people, but I don’t spread gossip, so I guess I’ll just have to sit on the information. It was unsettling to realize someone you thought was troubled was, in fact, a terrible, awful man.
