The unhealthy food is a form of slow poison. It cannot be denied that unhealthy food is not good for our health. But still, we still have them in our diet. Before the pandemic, I did not pay attention to whether the food being consumed was good for me. Things changed when the coronavirus struck our crazy world. I turned to a new lead and started to practice a well-balanced diet. I am still human that sometimes have 'cheat day.' Thus, I am a cheater in this matter. Have you changed during and after the pandemic?

I changed my eating habits. First my doctor told me my glucose was too high , to cut out all sweets an eat less carbs. I did but at my next appointment I’d lost too much weight so he told me to eat carbs and sweets to gain weight. So now I’m eating carbs and sweets again.

I cannot understand how it feels. The doctor advised me not to stop the usual eating habit, but needs to lessen some glucose from carbs and sweets. I am glad that you can have them again.

@RubyHawk It is nice that you did not gain any weight. As for me, I am trying to cut down. It is hard to do it though.

I let my body decide what is healthy. And I cook my own meals with very clean hands.

@Shavkat As I am 78 years old, I think that cooking skills are somewhat leaving me instead of being improved. I don´t cook now anything if you have to be standing in front of the stove for a long time. My legs won´t let me.

I do understand how it feels now. In the old days, I was not that keen of being health-conscious. I am glad that you can decide what to cook. As for me, I am still in the process to improve my cooking skills.

Yes, I can't be "good" to save my soul, but I am working on it.

@Shavkat I don't feel guilty about it, just sad when I notice the repercussions.

I can feel you. The matter of being guilty sets in after having the cheating day. But then, I enjoyed having them despite resisting the junk food.

The junkiest food that I always feeling a cheater is having potato chips. I need to refrain from having some salty food, but I cannot resist it sometimes.

No, I have not changed during and after the pandemic. We always had a well-balanced diet. This does not mean that we never eat food that is not considered healthy, like French fries. Once in a while it's not poison.

I agree that we can have the cheat day. I look at the bright side of this pandemic and that is to have a well-balanced diet as much as possible.

@Shavkat - The pandemic did not change a bit my life. We went out walking every day, the only thing we do not do anymore is going to eat at a restaurant.

We can't avoid eating those because it's what is available...Fish are fed with synthetic feeds so it's not also healthy.
