The rain made me change my plans.

So today I was planning to go outside with a chair, with my board and a sheet of drawing paper and my pencils and stuff, and I was going to draw the view of my back garden.
I got out a sheet of drawing paper ready, got my board ready and got my pencils and stuff ready. Then I went and got my lunch and a drink of tea.
After that I saw a big black cloud looming over. I thought, oh, it's OK, it'll blow over soon. But before I had chance to go outside to do my drawing, the heavens opened and it started pouring it down with rain! Not.only that, but it began to hail aswell! And that black cloud, that I thought would blow over, now covered the whole of the sky!
The rain came, then it went off for a bit, then it came back, then it went off for a bit, then it came back again! I thought, what are we having, April showers in September? Even when it did stop completely, I still couldn't go outside to do my drawing because there were wet puddles on the ground!
So I lay down on my bed and read a book instead.

@sharonelton That’s how it is here too. Hard to make plans in this weather. I’m going to Tesco now to buy some fresh herrings. I’ll roll them in porridge oats then fry them and eat them with roasted cauliflower.

I hope you got what you wanted from Tesco.
The herring and what you are going to do with it sounds interesting, but I don't know if I'd do it myself. Have you done that before? If so, what did it taste like?

Oh, no, sorry you couldn’t do your drawing. I cooked a pineapple cake, put on a crockpot of vegetables, cleaned the apartment and went for a long walk. Now I’m mylotting on the deck but it’s about dark so I’ll go inside and see if I can find a good movie to watch while I mylot.

I wasn't actually in bed, I was just lying on top of the bed. But I did a good bit of reading.
