Smog

Taal volcano is emitting volcanic smog. This is unfortunate because we are arranging a trip to Tagaytay next week. So, perhaps we should cancel our initial plan and hunt for a new destination to visit with my younger sister. I observed the smog from the 34th floor when I got up this morning. I expected it to go after an hour or two, but it didn't. It is getting worse. I took some time to read the news, and it was about smog caused by pollution. It was my first time seeing Manila like this. Metro Manila is one of the most densely populated metropolitan areas in the world. Increased automobile traffic, factory operations, and construction all contribute to pollution in the environment.
Any plans for today or the weekend?

If you go outside in that smog, please wear a mask if you can. Your lungs don't need to be agitated from all that smog.

Yes, will do. No smog today. And I read on the news that the thick smog over Taal volcano cleared yesterday morning. Happy weekend, Jeff!

Indeed, I left my flat as well, and as I walked down the street, I noticed that the day was rather gloomy and that my throat was a little itchy. Some claim that the haze we are currently experiencing is a combination of automobile pollution and air pollution from Taal Volcano, which may contain a lot of sulphur and be harmful to the lungs.

I thought it was just gloomy that day, but I found out that it was smog. Have a blessed Sunday!

@freelancermariagrace I thought it was the city's pollution and the volcanic smog that was causing it but I learned that the volcano smog was not affecting it and it was purely city pollution that caused it.

I'm not going to, Anna. It's better to be safe than sorry. We'll just go elsewhere. From the Philippines, Happy Sunday!
