The leaves are starting to change. It’s amazing how you can sit outside and almost watch it. Our local weather guy who does a vlog every day says we’ve had great weather for a great fall. Hope so! Meanwhile, laugh at this song from my list of favorites that are meant to make you chuckle.
#8: Take the Skinheads Bowling - Camper Van Beethoven
If I ever get a minivan and turn it into one of those sleeper vehicles I’ll name it Beethoven. That way it’ll be my camper van, Beethoven!
The band that gave us song titles like “Where the Hell is Billy” and “ZZ Top Go to Egypt” topped themselves with a song that, by writer David Lowery’s own admission, is a lot of nothing (“there’s not a line that goes here that rhymes with anything, had a dream last night but I forget what it was”).
And what a lot of fun nothing (“I had a dream, I wanted to lick your knees”) it turned out to be!! This is Camper Van Beethoven’s best-known song, even though they did have a hit with their cover of “Pictures of Matchstick Men.”
David Lowery is also the front man for the band Cracker. (Like that helps you any.

@FourWalls That song was before its time, I always forget that one. People must have stopped taking the bad skinheads bowling, they seem to be everywhere now.
There is good punk ones, but they clearly getting drowned out. Dinosaur Jr kind of reminds me of this band. Have you ever heard of them?
