I can´t talk when I am cooking.

Today I finally decided that I´d make a huge taco to use several goodies I had in the fridge. I had cheese, lettuce, avocado, half a tomato and mushrooms. I had bought yesterday also a jar of sweet red peppers. And I had tortillas. Immediatly after I placed a tortilla in my biggest skillet to warm, Hugo called me. Hugo is one of my late husband´s football chums and I did not dare tell him to call later. So I peeled the avocado, sliced the tomato and took out from the fridge some other things. But I forgot absolutly about the tortilla while I listened to Hugo long explanation of his several ailments. I prefer people who say they are fine to people who play what I call the illness poker. I mean, what can you expect from a person who is 83 years old? I´m younger but canot run or kneel down. So be it. So I center my conversations around what I can do and not about what I can´t. Easy! Anyway while Hugo talked the tortilla toasted to a hard and crisp concoction. But I picked up a bit of the hard crust and was very delicious anyway. So I decided not to throw it away. I made a sort of a taco (I could not wrap it of course) and ate it. The next time I cook another one I will turn off the phone. Do you like tacos? How do you fill them? I confess that I fill tacos as I make omelettes. It depends on what I have around. Now I´m for my nap. See you later.

Exactly! I don´t like recipes where you have to have all the ingredients they have. I prefer to improvise. Sometimes it is better.

@RebeccasFarm Sometimes it is better than others though. Today I made another taco for dinner. There was nobody at the phone so it was much better. The ingrediends were a bit different too.

I love a good taco. But I can't stand the white tortillas. I like corn tortillas. Very tasty with white fish, cabbage and Thousand Island dressing with some spices added. Cilantro too.

I don´t buy taco seasoning but I have some seasonings that the shoppers give me in small quantities so that I try them and get hooked on them.
