Back home Kittu feels relaxed

We are back home with Kittu at Rourkela. He had a terrible time traveling home. He vomited many times in the car to the Howrah. I had to clean the car. Moreover he has started suffering from traveling anxiety now. At 5 months he was happy with us and never reacted. It has really disheartened me. I don't want to go to Kolkata anymore. Now he is so relaxed and sleeping peaceful. He had even lost his appetite there while today he asked for chapati in his own way while I was making them.
I think he doesn't want to move around anymore traveling. Does your pet love or hate traveling.

I am happy for Kittu. Poor thing! He suffered so much with traveling. I hope he feels better soon. My last pet Topaz, a golden retriever enjoyed walking and outdoors, but no travel with closed windows. Poor thing! We made him travel from the US to India and he was so sick for few days. He actually looked very upset and made it very clear to us that he was not happy.

He is perfectly alright now and happy. Rather I have developed a phobia of traveling with him anymore.

@aninditasen That is understandable. You too have to go through a lot with all the cleaning of his vomit and calming him down. I am sure that you would be concerned and stressed.

Sometimes pets do get car sickness. My friends and sister had to train their dogs little by little to get used to long drives . . . at first they did not take to rides well either. I remember my childhood dog did not even like to get in the car - but he know a car drive meant he would be going to the vet.

@aninditasen I wish pets could tell us what is going on or how they feel. I hope Kittu is ok now. Maybe the longer trips do it, or maybe he gets dehydrated?

@much2say Yes, long trips in closed car make him feel giddy, I think. He doesn't do this for short distances.

I think it's something different with Kittu. He doesn't resent traveling in for a few minutes with us. We don't have a personal car to get him used to car traveling.

I could only take one cat to the doctor in a car and transfer her to one house to another when we shifted to a new house.

Yes, he hates traveling long by car but is comfortable in the train as there's AC and we book a first class cabin. I don't blame him at all.

Oh poor Kittu I am certain he is happy at home now. I have never tried traveling with my pet other than to the vet. A trip as you might expect...he was not a fan.
