Monday Update - 9/25

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Hopefully better than I am.
I wrote earlier that I could not sleep because I was coughing so much.
I got up and watched YouTube for about 2 hours, until I couldn't handle it any longer. I did take some medicine in that time frame which I think helped me get some sleep, even though I woke up every hour or so coughing. I think I got 3 hours or so of sleep.
I did get a quick nap while I watched a movie too after dropping Eli off at school. He's mostly better, just has a lingering cough.
So far today I have still been coughing a ton. Of course it is still causing my ribs to be sore.
So, no I haven't done a whole lot today, although I will have to get up in a bit to get ready to go pick up Eli from school. Then, I will get to have the fight with him over doing his homework. He hates math homework, even though he is good at math.
He also has to read 20 minutes a day, 5x a week. Last week he read 11 books, small books....not chapter books. He should be reading chapter books, but need to buy more of those....May look around the thrift stores once we all are no longer sick.
Anyways...that's the day so far. Hope you are not sick like me!

I hope you all are feeling better soon. Recently, a friend allegedly tested positive for COVID after several of us had gathered together, but no one else has been sick. That is why I said the test result was "alleged."

I try to be, but not sure Eli would think I am. He does still want bedtime hugs, even after he's been punished

Based on the symptoms it sounds like a cold. I don't even want that though.

Sorry to hear that you're still not well. Glad to hear that Eli was able to go to school. As far as books go, have you tried the library? Also, the library sales are a great place to pick up books inexpensively. Have a good day.

It is okay, it is what it is. I haven't caught a bad cold in a while....so guess it was my turn.
Haven't tried the library, never think about it. Just been used to buying books for pretty cheap at thrift stores, usually they will give one free too.
