I’m Doing Better Today.

First of all, I read the comments on my previous post, and I just want to say thank you. I’ll respond to all of them when I can, but I’m doing better today than I have in the last few days. I think taking the evening to myself yesterday was just what I needed. I did need to walk to the store for some laundry detergent, which wasn’t on my agenda, but it was just Rite-Aid. No crowds or long lines. Otherwise, I gave Doodles a bath, used social media without being too social, watched a movie with my niece, and read some of my Garfield book (yes, the cat, lol). Sometimes, you just need to chill by yourself or just within your household (hence watching a movie with my niece). I was going to play Animal Crossing, but I decided to skip the video game and just read and sleep since it was getting late. Today, I had a quick meeting with one of my project managers, did my laundry, and worked on my writing orders. Actually, I’m almost finished with my work. I’m tired, but I’m not irritable or frustrated today, and that’s what’s important (to me). I know not everyone’s schedule allows for random breaks, but if you CAN take a break, then please listen to your mind and body. Even if it’s just for a few hours, or even just one hour, do something for YOU. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Take care. :)

It's good you're doing a little better today. Yes, a little time to ones self is what's needed from time to time. I'm glad you got what you needed and while not intentional I am sure the walk and fresh air did you some good, too.

Thank you so much. I almost forgot about this frustrating time, but I remember it clear as day now. Yes, walks tend to help when I'm anxious, angry, etc.

I do take breaks during the day when it is getting ready to rain outside since it gives me a chance to relax and watch streaming television and recovery from working behind a desk.

I've been sick (with a cold) this week, so I definitely took breaks as needed.

@Deepizzaguy Thanks! I feel like I need more rest, but I have a physical in a few months, so I'm going to make sure my iron or whatnot isn't low. I also have a poor sleep schedule so this could be entirely my fault.

@tammys85 That is good to know that you did rest when you needed to rest.

Being off work, even if it was for appointments, has helped me out quite a bit. I loved the first part of last Saturday and reveled in the relaxed time I had then.
