Day 78 Luke 19:28 When He had said this, He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 29 And it happened, when He came near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, 30 saying, “Go into the village opposite you, when you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord needs it.’” 32 Those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them. 33 But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?” 34 And they said, “The Lord needs of him." 35 Then they brought him to Jesus, threw their own clothes on the colt, and set Jesus on him. 36 As He went, many spread their clothes on the road. 37 Then, as He was drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” 39 Some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” 40 He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” Celebrations are noisy. Not everyone likes the noise and wants the celebrants to stop their celebration. When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, the disciples began to rejoice and shout for joy, praising Jesus for everything He did. Those who saw and heard them joined in the celebration. Yet the Pharisees wanted them to stop shouting their praise because the people said, ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!’ They didn’t want to acknowledge that Jesus was their Messiah. Jesus told them if they stopped shouting, the stones would cry out. Have you ever heard rock sing? If you’re old enough to remember cassette tapes, then you have heard rocks sing because the tape was made of ferrochrome, an alloy made of chromium and iron, rock. Whenever Christians played worship and praise tapes the rocks sang out, just as Jesus said they would. Pharisees were the first people to try to silence the crowds praising God. Many people have tried since. It cannot be done. Christians will always find a way to sing God’s praises. When they cannot, the earth praises Him. The rocks cry out, and the trees of the field clap their hands. All creation finds a way to praise God. You cannot silence worship and praise. Isaiah 55:12 “For you will go out with joy and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn will come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier will come up the myrtle tree; and it will be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.” You cannot silence God’s Word or keep from praising Him. Let’s pray: Father, let me praise You with a heart full of thanksgiving. Let my voice ring out and not keep silent. Let me join Your creation in praising and blessing You for all You have done. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 1 October 2023 by Valerie Routhieaux

True that is so true. And it happens because we want our flesh to win than to what is holy, I hope we can all finish the raise and go home where Jesus lives at the right time.. at God's timing.

I have also heard that in old houses, with certain types of bricks, the sounds are recorded in the bricks, and at various times, you can hear voices crying out, for example, in a lightning storm. This is one explanation for people hearing voices, in these houses, which they attribute to being ghosts. Yes, we should find our voice, and cry out to spread the good news of Jesus around us, even now too.

@just4him Yes, we should not keep silent about the good news of Jesus Christ, whenever we can do so. We should do our bit to spread the good news.
