Are there places where you planned to go and now decided against going?

All this visit to the jungle in Bolivia that my daughters made has made me think again where would I want to go and what places I have deleted from my list.
A long time ago I decided not to go to Machu Picchu the sacred city of the Incas. I checked and it was too high and too steep. If I wanted to visit it, I´d check a video. And there are lots of books and videos of it.
Then, another place I would have loved to visit is Morocco. The beauty of it, the history, everything, was more than what anyone could wish.
On talking with Humberto about my wishes and the problems I had with my legs he said that that was the reason there were taxis around. So I could go.
But then came the pandemia and after that the giant earthquake. And I decided that I would also visit Morocco via videos.
Do you have any place that your heart wanted to visit yet your reason decided that it was a no?
I mean do not think about money. Imagine that you had enough money to go.

I live very near the sea too, but the sea nearby is too cold for me now.

I have been to Marrakesh and it is a beautiful place. I am glad I visited when we could still travel a lot.
A place where we planned to go and decided against is Jamaica. I had enough of my bad experience in Miami, I do not want to visit other dangerous places. ( Jamaica's homicide rate was ranked #1 in the world).

The only place I wish to go to if I could get enough money would be back to Riga Latvia where I could live out my days more peacefully and on the way perhaps stop to see NYC one last time where I was born and raised, That would do it for me,

@marguicha first of all painful memories, the house had to be sold I could not keep it up, and finally no one to advise me that I could live very well there after getting my SS. At that time I was not even thinking with a full brain I was like a robot and it seemed all right to return to be with my best friend again, Then I found out how expensive the US had become and all the problems here. And now my best friend passed on this past June 20th and here I am stuck.

A great post. We always wanted to go to Scotland to visit my childhood friend, but travel now would be impossible. We're hoping she's coming for a visit if I ever get well enough.

Traveling gets more difficult as we age. I used to be able to walk for hours. Now trembling minutes would be nearer my achievements

I would love to go to Egypt, but I wouldn't want to now because some of pyramids are destroyed. I also really want to see Paris. I also would like to see India.

Aside from the Keys, I wanted to visit England, Scotland and Wales; but I can no longer fly; so that's out. Have a good day.

@marguicha The problem is that I need to bring my rollator and shower chair and stepstool. Can't bring all that on the plane.
