Madonna’s Pub

To end the morning in Mayfair I ended up in the Punch Bowl Pub, at one time owned by Madonna and her then husband Guy Ritchie, who bought it in 2008. It was visited by Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Downy Jnr and the younger members of the Royal Family. It has since been sold on. They don’t take cash and all transactions are by card, which was handy for me, this was handy as I forgot I had no real money until after I had ordered a drink.
This pub was once owned by Madonna and then husband Guy Ritchie

@Ronrybs It's more convenient, and money is dirty.

Until the other day I had never heard of it. Being in Mayfair, it can't have been cheap, but sure she and Guy could afford it!

Madonna? Hmm interesting. Didn't know she had her nose stuck in pubs too. Oh all card transactions..can't imagine that for a drink.

I have seen the photos of the Punch Bowl Pub, I like the old style. After Covid started, I avoided touching cash, we know how dirty money is.

@Ronrybs Well said! I also carry some cash, just in case the credit card machine does not work. It happens time by time.
