Gheesh! I Have Been So Emotional Lately

I don't get it. I have been so emotional lately. I am watching a PBS episode about an actor's search for his grandfather. It was touching and I started to cry. The other night I was watching something and happened to think about an old love of mine and I started to cry. I have just been on the verge of crying a lot lately. I wonder if it has something to do with a supplement I am taking. There was a full moon recently, maybe that has something to do with my emotions. I had a hysterectomy in 1980 so it isn't hormones. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. Maybe I am just noticing it more. I am a pretty sensitive and emotional person. What do you folks think?

I sometimes get emotional watching shows. But you could look up side effects for the supplement

It maybe be the supplement or with age some people become more emotional.

I don't think hormones completely go away just because the baby box does. It could be age-related, or you just being you. It could be a result of an underlying mental issue you haven't felt with.

I've heard that you still get emotional and such just like you did when 'baby box' was in working order.

@celticeagle Yeah, I think so. Your brain doesn't shut down after all and emotional moments can still be triggered.

I think that your emotions of crying could be part of the life cycle we all go through. For example at the end of the movie "Creed II" when Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) went to visit his estranged son Robert (Milo Ventimiglia) home and when Robert introduced his son Logan who looked like Rocky's deceased wife Adrian, I began to cry in the theater since Rocky decided to play catch with his grandson. I hardly ever cry seeing movies, Maybe I am getting old or I miss my loved ones who have passed away.

@celticeagle That is true even though some trolls on social media think that I am girly which is not true at all.

My husband noticed the same thing. He never used to get emotional much and cry. I don't know what it could be.

Could it be depression? When I am depressed .my emotions seem very close to the surface.

You're talking to Mrs Emotional, Depends on what is going on or what the wind might be blowing about I can get up in the morning and be all teary-eyed and wonder why in the world I am that way. Or hear a song and off I go etc. It is not bad to be emotional at least it lets it all out and then you can get on with other things. I had a pretty emotional waking up this afternoon from a nap. Suddenly very clearly someone whispered my name in my ear and I woke up and have not been able to place the name to who might have whispered but I do not that my name was said clearly and in a Latvian pronunciation,
