Inspired by few of my author friends, I am planning to pen down a story which I wish to publish it in traditional format book. Recently I came across a good story also, and am doing lots of research to understand the nuances, after which I'll start developing the characters. Let's see how things shape up. Any tips you want to share with me??

What is the genre you are thinking for your novel. For me the theme of the story matters the most.

As a very good author said in the past, the secret to writing a good novel is to "copy" from the past authors.

@Rimps85 Yes he did and it's not "plagiarism" if you "copy" the ideas, not the precise words.

Which Genre are you interested in? Which Language? Are you already into regular writing in the language of your choice? Also A)Write at least a few paragraphs daily. B)Keep on working on spellings, Sentence formations and use of punctuation. C)Try to think of logical connections in different parts of your story. Techniques like Story Board are worth exploring. D)Get inspired by someone's style but do not get too much into "trying" to become someone. E)Be strong willed, patient and planned. Remember, there is never a magic wand !
