Day 86
John 8:51 “Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word, he will never see death.”
52 Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word, he will never taste death.’ 53 Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Whom do You make Yourself out to be?”
54 Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say He is your God. 55 Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I will be a liar like you; but I know Him and keep His word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
57 Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
59 Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
When people hear special speakers, they want to know everything about them and question them thoroughly to find out all the particulars about them. Rarely are those who question speakers happy with the answers. They do their best to find fault with what they say, even about who they claim to be.
The Jewish people doubted Jesus was who He claimed to be. They scoffed because He said He did the will of His Father, making Himself equal to God. They accused Him of having a demon because He said those who believed in Him would never see death. Then when Jesus told them Abraham rejoiced to see His day, because it made him glad, they scoffed more because He wasn’t yet fifty years old. Then Jesus said something only God could say. He called Himself I AM, and they wanted to stone Him.
As Christians, you know that what Jesus told the Jewish people was true. Yet how many Christians do the same thing to people who claim to do God’s will to go where He sends them? Don’t you question the speaker to find out how they can make those claims? After all, Jesus never used you the way those people claim He uses them. How about when missionaries come to your church and testify about what God did for the people God sent them to? Don’t you want to know all the particulars and question everything they say? Don’t you find it hard to believe, even with physical proof?
Those Christians who believe and act on what they hear and see, know the greater truth that God lives and works through them to do His will. They don’t need to question whether God works through them. The Holy Spirit verifies the work they do.
When you spend time in God’s Word and prayer, you will know when Jesus speaks to you, and you will know His will for you. Jesus knew the Father’s will because He always spent time with the Father.
Get to know the Father through Jesus, His Son. When you do, you will no longer question what He tells you, you will do what He asks you with joy, rejoicing to do His will with gladness.
Let’s pray: Father, use me to do Your will. Give me Your words to tell others the good news of the gospel, that Jesus came to save them, that He died and rose again so they can live in Him and He in them. Let Your Word be in me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Yes, we have three ways, of connecting to the Father, directly to God, through his son, or through the Holy Spirit, within us.
We should not neglect any of these ways, but stay connected to the Trinity of God, which will help us better to work with God, in our lives too.
We also have access to angels, at times too.
There is no reason ever for us to doubt God then, as we should feel the power of him working in our lives in these multiple ways.

@innertalks Since the soul is what makes us alive, I'm sure it would be sad to be distanced from God for eternity.

@just4him Yes, it is sort of sad to me, when some people do not value this connection, and so try to distance themselves from God.
I am sure their soul would feel sad too, in its way, when this connection is lost through ignorance, or sin.
