In a superb style and flair, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma broke records and led India to a 8 wicket win over Afghanistan.
Afghanistan had made 272 runs in their 50 overs, thanks to 2 50 + scores.
Yet this wasn't enough.
Rohit Sharma played an innings of control, attack and touch.
He scored 131 runs of 84 balls with 16 fours and 5 sixes.
Enroute some records were created or broken:
- Fastest 100 by an Indian in the ODI World Cup (of 63 balls).
- Most 100s (7 in 19 innings) by an Indian player - surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's 6 hundreds.
- Most sixes in cricket : all format
Ishan Kishan - 47, Virat Kohli - unbeaten 55 and Shreyas Iyer - 25 did the rest.
Well, a tough road ahead for Afghanistan.
India has some more tough matches but the confidence would be quite high after 2 wins.

In this world cup it's the Indian team which I want to win.
But otherwise, I like the way Kiwis (New Zealand) play.

It will be tougher for India.
How they face Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, Tim Southee etc needs to be seen.
Plus containing Will Young, Tom Latham, Kane Williamson etc would also be a task.

Yes it was a keen contest.
India got Aussies out for 199.
In response, India were in jitters at 2 for 3, wickets being taken by Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc.
Yet Virat Kohli and K.L.Rahul saw India through.

Overall, Aussies have won quite more ODIs vs India.
During the days of Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting, Glenn McGrath, Matthew Hayden, Tom Moody and Adam Gilchrist (early 2000s to 2007), India used to lose most of the matches.
Plus during the heydays of Allan Border (early 1990s).
So now it's a kind of course correction.
In another worrying bit for Aussies, they lost to South Africa by 134 runs today!
A big margin and seems like Pat Cummins' captaincy, Batting and Bowling plans seem to be going haywire.
One reason is the absence of Travis Head, who can both bat and bowl.
Plus lack of another quality spinner like Ashton Agar.
Yet with still high quality players, the Aussies can bounce back.
