Police officer saves the life of a female who was trapped inside a burning home

Marlboro Township police officer Marc Merriwether answered an emergency call from the owner of a home on Sunday morning who reported that her home was on fire. The caretaker of the elderly female told Officer Merriwether did inform the caretaker that the house where the elderly female was inside her bedroom and because she was not able to walk out of her bedroom due to a physical handicap. Officer Merriwether risked his life by telling the elderly woman that he would carry her out of her home since the fire was outside of the bedroom. After the elderly woman and her caretaker as well as the police officer were able to leave the burning home safely, Marlboro Township Police Chief Ron Devies is so excited that his employee risked his life to rescue a person in need.
