Curly hair

Some have natural curly hair and they stop at nothing to straighten it up. Some wait for the curly hair to be trendy and you see them lined up at salons to have their hair curled. One can do that at home as well using curlers. When I gave up my job I suddenly thought of looking different. I curled my hair and on the day of send off everyone noticed that I looked different I wanted to look different, do different things and change my lifestyle. My curly hair style did not last long as I cut my hair and sported the Diana haircut style. Today, since I did not want anyone visiting me to cut my hair during the pandemic I let my hair grow. It is now straight and shoulder length. What's your story? Image credit:https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:A_cute_Kurdish_child.jpg

I was born with naturally curly hair, and I got it from my mother as she did too. I never tried to straighten it. My sister, who has straight hair, got a perm so her hair would look like mine. Oh, it did not turn out that way.

I have curly hair. I have five siblings and I’m the only one with curly hair. Neither my mama or daddy had curly hair. I’ve worn my hair long and short. I wear it short now.

@allknowing I don’t know why, probably from a great aunt or uncle or great grandma or grandpa that had curly hair.

Mine is straight hair, always, and I always like it to be straight, as I think it's easier to take care. Well, I don't usually take care of my hair, other than comb it. I am also lazy to get a hair cut, so I usually let my hair grow until I get fed up with the length (usually after should length), then I will just cut it short, and then I'll let it grow long again.... I just cut my hair last week, so it's straight and short now.

@allknowing Firstly I should say that the girl in curly hair is so cute . Then I am surprised that you cut your hair Diana style . Oh , now you are with the normal lengthy hair style. I cut my hair in saloon every 20 or 25 days once that will be short hair style. In the morning before going to office I comb my hair .. that's all after that I don't care till next morning . This is my ( hair style ) story Good night to you ! !

Cutting your hair in 20-25 days is pretty soon Your hair must be growing fast.

That is a cute child with curly hair. Chinese have straight hair and like to have it curled at times. As for me, I let my hair down - whatever is left of it now.

When I was a kid, I had a similar curly hair style as the kid in the picture. Now, same as you, my hair is straight and shoulder length.

I have wavy hair and always wore it long until I had a stroke in 2017. I was advised to cut it then because of the weight and I was having headaches also. Pandemic hit and I let it get to shoulder length. And now it is mid back. I just pin it up on top of my head during the summer. I will have to see how it feels this winter. I may be getting it chopped off!

@allknowing Fortunately after my husband had one in 2015, I knew what was going on and got the the hospital ASAP and everything was caught in time and no bleeding. It took me a long time to learn typing and keyboard again, but not too much ill effects. My smile is a little off, but I'm alive and thankful for that.

@kareng Why do you say you had no bleeding as how can a stroke lead to bleeding? I am glad you are fine now.

When I was young (50/60s) everyone wanted curly hair. Now it seems everyone wants straight hair. I used to get mine permed but I don't bother now. It's long and straight.
