It’s never too late to turn your life around

Your inner candle never goes out

We are never ever completely locked into going in a certain direction, that is the wrong direction for our lives. At any point in our life, we can turn it around to living it from love, for God. The raging waters of life do not have to carry us along with them, in fear, consumed by their force on our life. We can infuse our life with the force of love, and then these waters can help to cleanse us, rather than buffer us from pillar to post. Life is a series of ups and downs, and you need to go on the ups that God has given you, but also to accept the seeming downs, he brings into your life too. Everything in your life can serve your life, when you see it from love, as coming from God to help you to live, and to grow, in your life. Some anonymous writer once said this: "No matter how far you have travelled in the wrong direction, there is always still a chance for you to turn your life around." Grasp this chance, and move forwards, facing your real life, and let what has gone, stay gone, as mere shadows, in the past. Perhaps, it was the same unknown writer, who said this too: "Turn your face to the sun, and the shadows fall behind you." Thanks. Yes, we need to continually monitor how we are doing, and so try to better things in our lives as ever we can do so. That's what I try to do.

You're never too far from love. Just turn around and grasp love's hand. Wonderful post! Have a blessed day.

Thanks. Yes, we are never too far from love, or from God. God, and Jesus, are always there, waiting for us to put our hands and life, into their hands, and to allow their love to pour into us, to help us to turn our lives around.

Better late than never - comes to mind. I have seen a few lament their entire life has been wasted. They are so set in their ways that they have no inclination to change for the better. They are also at times in a state of denial. We may retire from working life but life goes on till our last breath. We can change in many ways along the way. A few have late realization too to reboot their agenda.

Yes, it is sad when somebody, tells us that they lived a wasted life, and lived in vain. It is sadder though, when somebody else assesses somebody else's life, dismissing it as a useless, and worthless life. Nobody should assess somebody else's life like that.

@Shiva49 Yes, especially, if the criticism comes from somebody who we might think knows what they are talking about. My brother was told by his headmaster at High School, that he did not have the ability, or fortitude, to continue at school, and he told him to leave at the end of form four, and to get a labouring job. That is all he could handle, or amount to, he was told. My brother repeated form four, went on to pass his leaving, or fifth form, and then he got a good job in a bank. Later, he even went back to night school, and passed his final sixth-form year then, too.

@innertalks Nowadays people are more careful. In my younger days, I heard remarks judging people harshly and saying their lives were wasted. It is not easy to live with unwanted criticisms.

I completely agree to what you are saying and i believe in it strongly as have experienced it in my life time and again. It's upto us whether we want to stay in dark phase or to rise and give new direction to our life by having faith in God

Yes, thanks. Even when something seemingly bad happens to us in our life, it is always better to try to make the most of it, rather than to give up on life, and live a life of despair, ruing our life for what it has become. While we are still alive, we can still praise God, and be a useful servant to him, in our life, no matter how things are going in it.
