Breast cancer awareness should be more than one month

I'm really glad there's an emphasis on breast cancer, but even with all the newest technology and drugs, there are still too many people dying of this horrible disease.
I was diagnosed December first of last year (2022) with two different kinds of cancer in one breast. One was the most ordinary kind with a high chance of recovery or even being cured. But one was a very aggressive, rare cancer that my surgeon only sees once every two or three years. And he has seen many patients in the 20 plus years he's been a breast surgeon.
I've told many of you this in the past, but it was the grace of God that I'm still alive.
I fell the year before and developed a small lump on my left breast, so my GYN doctor sent me to have a 3D mammogram and ultra sound.
That's where on the second time there, they discovered the cancers, but were on my right breast. My GYN doctor was shocked...my yearly mammogram was just recently done and didn't detect any sign of cancer.
I never had one symptom of anything wrong, no lumps, no nothing.
If my cancers hadn't been diagnosed so early, I most likely wouldn't be alive now. I give God all the credit for healing me and guiding me to the newest technology.
I'm so thankful for those 3D mammograms and ultrasound.
I hope eventually all mammogram machines will be 3D. When you're scheduled for one, please, please try to have a 3D if at all possible.
It might save your life.

I have heard some believers say God quit performing miracles after Bible times, but I vehemently disagree. The doctors finding your cancer early enough was a miracle, and so is the technology that made it detectable. To think, what used to be the end for someone, now offers hope beyond what we ever imagined.

You are so right, Amber. God still performs miracles and some are through the skill of doctors and advances in technology.

@jnrdutton You are so right. I love that Luke was the only one of the four Gospels who recorded that after the soldier had his ear cut off, Jesus healed him. That was probably because Luke was a doctor and read about the account.

@1creekgirl the Apostle Luke was a physician, just a fun fact. Certain believers think that accepting medicine shows a lack of faith, but God gives people skills and rational minds for a reason. We should never scorn that.

I had never heard about 3D mammograms until I wrote a post here a couple of days ago. I think that that SHOULD BE a part of the awareness of testing. Thank you for sharing.

So true. If I were a billionaire, I would donate as many 3D mammogram machines as I could.

My Sister in Law gets her mammogram every year. This year they found a lump. My brother says they moved very quickly to treat it and she had a lumpectomy. Likely will have radiation but he says the biopsy was the best news possible as to the type.
