Free Cable for more than a year now

Ever since netflix, we barely watch the cable anymore. The best channels got removed from the local account. They want me to upgrade to an internet + cable combination. But that time I've heard of so many complaints from different users and we happened to be one of the oldest.
So, I went to their office to have my subscription cancelled last year. So, their technician went to our house and confirmed the disconnection. But then we checked for days and we still have cable
Well, we've been watching it when there's nothing to watch in netflix. Mostly just the news. Do you think I should cut the cable just to show in good faith?
Have a nice day

You should not take it upon yourself to cut something you didn't install yourself. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Nope I didn't do anything @kaylachan I thought the technician already cut the service. Cable channels sucks now a days. But we don't watch it every day since netflix.

After using it for free for a whole year, I probably would let them know I was still getting it. You are positive they haven’t still been charging you though, right? I’d hate for them to have sneaked a fee in your bill you didn’t realize you paid for.

The crazy part is that when my brother moved out and have a family of his own, he still registered it under his name. So, he had two accounts in that cable + internet company. But he went there first to have it disconnected and i went in second.

I'd check the bill and make sure you aren't still being charged for it but if you were told the cable had been stopped, then it's not your responsibility to "remind" them that it's still running.

Hello @DaddyEvil I would have told them but then the technician went to us personally and I thought they really removed it.

@Letranknight2015 Sometimes you get a nice technician who will "accidentally" leave things on for you.

I would cut the cable since you can get in trouble with the authorities for "Stealing" cable television.

Hello @Deepizzaguy I've been thinking of doing that some day. Maybe it's better that way. But I didn't put an illegal line they didn't cut the our line.

No, if you have it use it. I had my tv and landline taken off xfinjty a few months ago and kept my online service. My son bought a tv that plays free shows and movies. That cut my bill a little over half. That’s better but still too expensive. Weren’t you on Expertscolumn. I think I saw you there.

@Letranknight2015 I’m not on any other site either but I’m pretty sure you were on Expertscolumn when I was there. I was also on Triond and Bubblews and others.
