Juliet Barton who was a passenger aboard the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) last Wednesday when the train she was riding on transferred to the Freeport station when she realized that she was missing a bag that had $12,000 dollars at the Penn Station. Juliet did report to the officials at the MTA in New York that her bag that contained $12,000 dollars was missing. Juliet is one lucky person since a conductor aboard the train that Juliet was on before she transferred to the other train in Freeport did turn in the bag to officials at the Penn Station. Juliet is grateful that despite the huge amount of money that was inside the bag was not touched at all. Juliet thanked the four employees of the MTA for their work of finding the money. MTA Chief Executive Officer Janno Leiber did give his employees special commendations for their efforts of finding the money inside of the train. Link is upi.com/3211697820742 via @upi

That's awesome. Friend once left his wallet on a sightseeing bus. The cash was gone, but credit cards intact .although he had already cancelled them

I had a similar problem when my wallet was on the ground in the front yard but no one touched it all.

That’s a lot of money to carry in a suitcase. I think I would have put it in a money belt underneath my clothes.

I wonder why she was carrying that much money, but it is good to know there are still honest people in the world.

That is what I am thinking why would anyone would carry that huge amount of money in the first place? Thank goodness the employees of the MTA did return the money to her.

I’m glad to hear it was returned. She must have felt so sick when she first lost it.
