Got some work done today, but not what I planned

Actually, I've been here some and I've been working on my husband's website following a you tube video.
What I planned on doing today is wash some floors, the kitchen and bathroom since I have to do that when my husband is working. Instead I went and got gas for my trip to Detroit on Saturday. I then vacuumed out my van just in front of the seats. That was the first time I ever did that. I bought floor mats a few weeks ago but wanted to have the floors clean first. My cousin is going with us to Detroit and I didn't want my van to look like a slob.
Then I decided to do some raking. The sidewalks were covered with leaves and with all the rain we're getting I don't want anyone slipping on the leaves especially any trick or treaters next week. I also raked the gutters in the road free of leaves so the water could travel down to the grates.
Now it's time for a break.
While raking I was thinking that I hope those that like to take color tours have done so because the rain tends to wash out the pretty colors and bring the leaves down faster.
I thought about cutting down my ornamental grass before it gets much colder, but that can wait.
Soon, hopefully, I'll have an image of cleared off sidewalks and the ornamental bush. But first I have to downsize it again.

There's always something to do but I tend to procrastinate. So it's good when I actually do something.

And then when I was done raking I sat on my recliner playing games and mylotting until it was time to make supper. I didn't get anything extra done.

Busy busy - you probably got in a good work out! How was your trip to Detroit (since I'm so late here 
). Sounds like you have real autumn colors there - many of our leaves are burnt to a crisp by the end of all the hot weather.

The trip to Detroit was great. I forgot I was going to share more about that. But, I start work in a few so maybe later or sometime this week.

We had a lot of rain over the summer and it's continued even more than usual into the fall. I've never saved leaves for my garden before but maybe once I retire I'll have more time to do more. Although, I don't know that I'll ever try planting produce again but, I do want to have a nicer flower garden one day

I agree. If I get more raking in, then I won't have to pay the leave people to do it for me. Same goes for cutting down my bushes and some plants.
