HI everyone. I know you probably missed me, while I took two months off to deal with my arthritic neck pain. I'm just checking in to let you know how I'm feeling and doing lately. September was a month of hell before I started physical therapy last month. My headaches were nauseating and dizzying and frequent. With pain medication and physical therapy, the headaches are infrequent and minimal, when I occasionally have them from time to time. The only headache I have is the one at the back of my neck everyday. The pain level in September was a 7. All last month, it have been a 5. It haven't decreased, though it went up a notch, if I slept in the wrong position, and really felt the pain in the morning. With PT, I had slept better last month and had the occasional bad night. I've been hydrating myself more and started researching anti-flammatory foods to help with the pain, like the Mediterranean diet for breakfast and dinners. (I'll post my recipe list this weekend, since I'll be doing it again for this month with new recipes.) Last week, my PT sessions ended after 5 weeks and 10 visits. They said that there's some range of motion with my neck, my posture is better, and I've been sleeping better and having less headaches. They told me to keep going with my exercises (15 in all, though I've been doing mostly half of it on work days), and see my PCP if the neck pain is bothersome to get an earlier appointment. I started the refill of my pain medication a few weeks ago, and hope I have enough until my 12/5/23 follow-up. Overall, I'm feeling maybe 50% better than I did two months ago to be exact. So I'm going to be more active this month here and post my belated August/September recipe list soon. I'll be back later tonight to do some posting and commenting here since I miss my Mylot friends. See you soon. Muah!

I was wondering about you and your recipes the other day. It's good to see you on here. I've been dealing with frequent headaches due to arthritis in my neck, and what you described sounds really familiar!

I'm sorry you've had such bad headaches. I'm glad PT helped. I hope the diet will help too.

Sometimes you have some time to get yourself together. Sounds like things are at least a little better and welcome back.
