November Celebrates Native American Heritage

In August 1990 the President of the United States, George H.W. Bush declared November National American Indian Heritage Month. This is a time to celebrate the cultures, histories, and traditions of the Native American people. This includes their traditions, culture, music, dance, and concepts of their lives. Included are Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian. Documentaries will be available on PBS throughout the month.
