Christmas goodie - Rose Cookie

It is a long time since I have prepared any Christmas goodies excep the date and walnut cake. In the good old days there used to be many varieties that we made at home and Rose Cookie was one of them. We have a mold that is used to make rose cookies. Eggs are beaten and added to the flour to which sugar, salt, cardamom powder and any essence such as vanilla or almond is added Suffient water is added to get the consistency of pancakes. Rose cookies are deep fried. The mold is first dipped in hot oil for a while and then gently lowered in the batter. The batter should not cover the top of the mold as the rose cookie will not separate and float in the oil. Once it leaves the mold it is fried for a few moments and then removed. @allknowing Nothing. Not any more. No family left to celebrate. I used to make fudge, divinity, chocolate covered pretzels, pies, and M&M cookies for Dustin.

@allknowing This photo idea is beautiful. In Tamil we say "ACHU MURUKKU" .. This is also our snacks material but but rarely. It is crispy, little sweet.
