The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service's Wellington Fire Station answered an emergency call from a concerned citizen on Thursday that a calf was sinking into a slurry pit in Pontesbury England. The teamwork of the Amber Crew as well as firefighters from Minsterley were able to use large animal equipment to get the calf out of pit safely before the calf would have perished by drowning. The calf was taken out of the pit and placed on solid ground a little bit shaken up by the experience. Link is upi.com/2511699565170 via @upi

Slurry pits are bad places to get stuck.

That is a good question how the calf wound up in the pit in the first place.
