John Lally was driving in his truck on Highway 59 in Houston Texas on Saturday was in the right place at the right time when he saw a Houston police officer named J. Gibson was chasing a carjacking suspect refused to surrender to the police when he was told to so. The suspect who was a 19 year old male fired shots at Officer Gibson who was hit in the leg. John decided to get involved in the shootout by assisting Officer Gibson who was wounded in the leg by grabbing his vest and get him away from the danger zone to his truck when the other Houston police officers used a tourniquet to cover the wound of the injured officer. The suspect attempted to steal another auto when the suspect then got into a shootout with the other police officers who shot the suspect who was then taken to a local hospital where the suspect died from his injuries. John is hopeful that others will follow his example to assist another person who needs help in times of trouble. Link is fox26houston.com/news/59-shooto...

I am in agreement with you since police officers risk their lives to protect their communities.

Carjackers are the worst. Some real desperate folk.

I am in agreement with you since according to news reports John was a former criminal himself before he reformed his ways.

That's a scary situation to assist in. I'm glad he could do so.
