Science Fact: Why Do Eagles Always Look Angry?

This is a silly question, but eagles and other birds of prey seem to be in an ever grumpy mood. The way they stare, with those scowling faces and angry eyes, seems to be telling any observer to "back off." But their usual expression never really reflected their moods, it's just that their faces were built hat way, for a good reason. For one thing, the enlarged brows bone that gave them their expressions was there to protect their eyes and act as a shade when scanning for prey in the sunlight. Thh large eyes that enabled them to see their prey at a distance added to the stern expression. Lastly, there is the hooked beak and the angular face. Overall, birds of prey never held a grudge. They evolved to look that way.

On top of their "angry look," they are of course very beautiful and majestic creatures. This meme perfectly sums up the demeanor of an eagle. lol

I love those birds. They are impressive birds to look at. In Asia, we have a species here with a seven foot wingspan. And I love the meme hehehe.

@porwest I envy your place though. You could see a wild eagle flying above. Eagles in our place are critically endangered. I never seen one except for postcards.

@Mamerto32 Me too. Plus, they are our national bird. You can go to prison for a long time if you kill one here.
