India lost to Australia in the world cup cricket finals at Ahmedabad on sunday. In a slow wicket Cummins, Hazzlewood, Starc bowled slow and accurate and inspite of Virat scoring 54 runs, Rahul scoring 66 runs and captain Rohit Sharma scoring 47 runs India gave a small target of 241 runs. Dew came in the evening the wicket played better, although Shami and Bumrah made inroads taking 3 wickets with score of 48 runs, the rest was Head show. Head scored unbeaten century with stand with Labushane. Indian fielding was hopeless. The better team won the world cup.

Not in the recent future.
India play South Africa in South Africa.
The once in 4 years World Cup is however out of reckoning for the Indian team !

Yes, yesterday was not the day for the Indian team.
It's very disappointing.
Aussie bowlers and Travis Head ensured a comprehensive Australian win.
I feel sad for Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma as well as Ravindra Jadeja. They might not be around by the next ODI World Cup and would have wanted to get this one, where India had been playing so superbly well.
And I wonder if there is something special that makes Aussies almost invincible in Semis and Finals of the World Cups (remember 2003 and 2015 vs India?).

Yes I agree.
I think with a below par score on board, Rohit thought of using Shami earlier perhaps to get early wickets.
Plus India missed Hardik and perhaps Ashwin would have been helpful.
