Let me share what our little Miss first poem was created last night. Her religion teacher gave them homework to make a poem about liturgical gestures. I was surprised that she managed to make it without my guidance at the age of 12. She might be a good poet in the future. Here it goes. The Liturgical Gestures by Erin Louisse R.G. The priest makes the sign of the cross The people emulate the sign of the cross They are looking at him across The priest waves his hands while standing While the people are sitting They are into God's words by listening The priest executed the genuflection by prostating The priest gives his blessing The people show their peaceful sign by bowing The mass ended with handshaking That's the power of liturgical gesturing Image Credit: thepriest.com

Applause she is very talented and will be a poetess in her own way. Definitely save this one and when she writes another she can start following her progress, My dad was a popular Latvian poet and writer and he had me doing little poems at the age of eight. I was writing them in both Latvian and English.

I am sure your dad is good at it. I, myself, am not good with this. It is not my cup of tea. I think you are applying what you have learned from him these days, right?

@Shavkat my dad passed way back in 1967 when I was ten. Since then when I get inspired at times my fingers fly over the keyboard and I have to look at what I wrote, I believe at those times my dad helps out and kind of takes over,

@RasmaSandra During my childhood years, I used to dream of being a writer. Unfortunately, no one mentored me. I am trying to polish my writing skills from time to time.

She did really well. Good for her - and especially for doing it on her own.

I am glad that she was being trained during the lockdown before. It was a good venue for me to teach the techniques on how to study her subjects effectively.
