I keep seeing youngsters actually dyeing their hair gray Here I am hiding my gray hair and dyeing it to match the colour of my original hair which is between black and brown. What's with youngsters I say these days? Anything to stand out? I only hope they are wearing a wig and not dyeing their hair gray I wonder whether they can get back the original colour of their hair Would you? https://www.crunchtimeparents.com/blog/2018/2/26/gray-hair-trend-olympics-rihanna-kardashian-moss-teigen Image credit:

In fact, I'm not interested in gray hair, it will look very old and for now I only look a little gray on my hair.

@allknowing I don't need it yet, my hair is naturally brown so it's a suitable color for me.

I know a lot of sports entertainers who work in the wrestling industry who either wear wigs or dye their hair to play the Storm character of the X Men superhero team.

It is OK for entertainers but I was wondering if the common man does it too

I dunno, it's kind of nice to see that younger people are rejecting the stigma of going gray. I had a pretty obvious silver streak by the time I was 20, and these days about half of my hair is naturally silver. It doesn't bother me, but I did dye it aquamarine before Halloween just to do something different with it.

@allknowing I used a semi-permanent dye, so it washes out over time. For my hair specifically, it looses a lot of the bright color in the first month and then gradually keeps fading until there's just a faint tinge of blue left.

I have never dyed my hair and still they are mostly black. Youngsters do a lot of things these days which is difficult for us to understand.

I think it is OK to wear a gray hair wig as it won't be harmful anyway. But I did see people who dyed their hair gray. Perhaps it is a kind of fashion. When youngs have gray hair and they still look young and the rest will just look older

My mom's mom had totally white hair it looked awesome, I stopped coloring mine waiting to get white hair like my grandma but I must be getting younger, not older, All I have are white strands in the front in my bangs and the rest of my hair is the original brown I had as a child,

Continual dyeing can't be good for your hair but it can look pretty strange once a person stops colouring their hair and lets it revert to its normal colour.

Yes, youngsters dyeing their hair gray is a current fad and one that I also do not understand. My hair is naturally 100% gray now but was dark blonde. Fifteen years ago, after 26 years of coloring it (a little darker or lighter), I had to stop because I had an allergic reaction and went into anaphylactic shock. I am 55 now and have naturally silver, gray, and white stands throughout. People are always asking if I have my hair intentionally colored this way and ait surprises them when I say, "Nope. It is a gift from God."

Some young people like to dye their hair in different colors. Probably it's a fashion to them.
