My two younger children and I are very afraid of dogs that are fierce, especially those stray dogs with no owner around. I have been walking to the park together with my younger children lately, and we have made sure there isn't any stray dogs that are fierce on the way to the park. But since last week, we met this little black dog. At first I thought it is a stray dog, as it doesn't have a collar and it's off leash. It is a little dog and it didn't bark us, so we were not so afraid of it at first. Perhaps we used to play with some dogs in the park sometimes, the little dog wanted to play with us. It started to bite my hand and jump on me, like how some puppies play. I knew the dog is being friendly to us and wants to play with us, but the problem is it kept biting my hand and jumping on me, and I do not know what to do, and I can't even move without asking someone else to help me get rid of the dog. I found out the dog actually belongs to a neighbor who stays on the way when we are walking to the park. I have to pass by the dog's house every time we go to the park. The dog was outside almost everyday for more than a week. I have been looking for the owner since then, and finally found her at home. I told her the whole situation and how frightened my children and I were. I hope she will really keep her dog inside the house well, and we do not need to worry anymore when we walk to the park. Walking to the park should be a relaxing and joyful moment, but not feeling panic and anxious.

I can understand how encountering an unexpectedly energetic dog could be quite alarming, especially with young children. Hopefully, the owner will be responsible and ensure the dog is kept inside to make your walks more enjoyable.

People need to be responsible for their dogs. And they also need to train them not to jump up on people. This woman sounds too busy to have any pets.
