My Trivia Expert BFF

Gini, my BFF came to stay with me back in 1985 for several months from her home in Oklahoma. She loved country music. She turned on the local country station on the radio when she first came in and I think it was on 24/7 until after she left. They had a daily trivia contest where a listener could win lunch or free tickets to something going on in the community. I think that while she was here we ate out for free at least once each week. She won so many of the trivia questions. They were mostly about old-time singers and Gini knew them all. I think about my dear friend today because next month it will be a year since she passed away. She had been having some issues with the veins in her legs. Was in the rehab hospital for several days. She had just gotten the good word from her doctor that she could probably go home and was waiting for the doctor to come to the hospital to give her the good word when she had a massive heart attack and died. She was such a special human being and I have many special memories of the 57 years I have known her.
