My wife wanted to have a flavored cup of coffee from some grounds my sister gave us she didn't like. Our coffee maker has both a carafe side and a K-Pod side. But we don't have one of those reusable cups. Being the good husband I am, I thought, well, I'm resourceful. I took out an old pod that was in there from a recent cup she made. I cut off the foil top and dug out the grounds and filter inside. Washed it out. Cut a new filter piece to place inside the cup and put in the necessary grounds. I then used a piece of tin foil to make a new top, pressed it into the maker and proceeded the brew her a cup of special brew. My idea worked. As I pulled out the pod I had made I remembered the oversized platform that the coffee cup sits on. "That's a container," I suddenly recalled. Wait a damn minute, my mind started firing up. The damn thing CAME with its own reusable pod! I opened it up and voila! It was there. I had completely forgotten about it. We'd never used it in the three or four years we've had the coffee maker. I felt like such an idiot. And of course my wife was happy to affirm it. "But I was resourceful," I told her with a smile. "Uh-huh," she said.
