I cannot believe I even wrote that, nor could I believe it when I first posted it on social media.
I'm meeting my all-time favorite band (since 1989). Holy smokes. I feel like the stars aligned with this one. I was able to financially make it work, and they're actually coming to my hometown this time around. I usually have to travel to D.C. and PA, outside of the Merriweather '21 show. This time, they're doing mostly outdoor venues, and they added Merriweather to the tour, so I won't be traveling out of my state this time around. Therefore, it was much easier to get a ride set in stone.
How could it NOT feel like the stars were aligning? I felt it before the announcement and ticket sales, but I didn't think it'd actually happen, so I kept my expectations low.
Once the VIP ticket was bought and the confirmation popped up on the screen, I gasped and covered my mouth for a moment or two. I was shaking. I was also in denial, but I checked my ticket on the app, and sure enough, it says "5 Star VIP Meet and Greet."
You meet the guys and take the pics in groups of 10 (so, you and nine other people, and you come up with your own group). A friend and I already started our own, so I have a few people already. It'll be great to look back and know I got to share this moment with several friends.
Oh, and it's two girls per guy (one on each side), and I have a Jordan Knight spot --- my favorite member! The other person is a friend of mine, even better! You also hug each guy during the meet and greet (it's not required, but you can if you want to), walking down the line before and after your picture, so I'm totally looking forward to that.
I'm going to print out a letter to the group and hand it off to Jordan. I have well over 200 days, and I'm gonna need that long to gather my thoughts. I'm not even sure where to start, to be honest.
My outfit is going to be casual and comfy. I'll be nervous enough --- there's no need to stress over clothes.
As for my actual seat, I'm five rows from the stage, and I managed to grab an aisle seat, woo!
I wanted to post about this shortly after, but I didn't have the chance because I was focused on holiday stuff, work, and then the loss of my dog. It just never felt like the right time, until now. :)
The show itself isn't until August 2024. :)
In my previous post, I said I had some happy news to share, and that's it.
And, it's back to work I go. I'm thinking of doing my first Gratitude Challenge in a while tonight.

My best friend and I were big fans of New Kids when we were little. My best friend got to see them in concert. I was so jealous of that. Now I'm not a fan of them.

I am glad to hear you get to experience something so positive, and that you have wanted for so long.
