Happy December (my favorite time of year)

Happy Friday Everyone! it's cold and rainy here for the 1st day of December.
My daughter went Christmas shopping with her friends so I have the day to myself.
I just finished breakfast and now it's time to enjoy some online time. I'm sitting here with my laptop and the dog. Only one of those has the word "lap" in it so I'm quite a bit squashed sharing my lap. 
I don't have a lot to do today but I'm never at a lack for keeping myself busy.
I want to start writing out my Christmas cards so they aren't left to the last minute. Every year I say I'm going to do them early and then my procrastination sets in and I don't get them in the mail until later in the month. I don't send out many anymore but I still have a tendency to procrastinate.
It should be interesting to see if my day turns out to be productive or if I'm just a lazy bones.

It's OK to be a lazy bones once and a while. I got our Christmas cards out early. People have been receiving them on the 1st and today. A little earlier than I wanted. Hope you have a good weekend.

It sounds like you have the best of intentions! I went to three pharmacies today, visited with my dad, and made a visit to the post office to drop off a few of my Christmas cards. They aren’t the traditional size, so I wanted to make sure the right amount of postage was on them.

I mailed out Christmas cards to my friends living overseas last week. My nephew and his wife in Canada will come back this week to spend Christmas here. We plan to have a big Christmas party this year.

I have to make a handmade Christmas card that’s the only one I send out each year.
It’s a rainy day here too. 35°F though so not freezing yet. I’m in town my daughter needed some to do some things and I want to exchange a bunch of rolls of coins at the bank. After I drop my oldest back to work my little one and I will go for a short ride to hide a geocache at a little free library. That will give her an earlier nap so hopefully she won’t be up so late at night.

I used to have Remembrance Day off every year and I used to do out my cards then.
I would put the stack in the kitchen to get stamps 2 weeks later and to mail them out so that they would be recieved on Dec 1st.
I remember getting one from my Aunt one year and she commented (her card arrived after Christmas) that she forgot that we were into December, but remembered once she opened her mailbox and got our Christmas card.
I laughed because whenever she sends cards they are about a week late.....we are all known for something I suppose.
