A few Sunday notes

Good afternoon and hope you are having a stunning day. We've had a really glorious sunshine day and nice warm temps at 21C (70F) to go with it. Due to South Africa's ongoing electricity problems, none of the family there managed to charge devices yesterday, so we could not do the planned birthday phone calls last night. We were able to do so this morning and had lovely chat with my mom in law and the rest of the family on video call. We could all wish her a happy 90th. We could also see that all the goodies we ordered for her arrived and she was enjoying it with my two brothers in law there. She had a really good day yesterday and looks quite happy. We did manage a short stroll in the forest, but mud and then some more mud. so we headed off using a cow track and managed to cross back on to gravel road next to the forest. Not quite there, but good enough for us. We'll go walk about when the sun has set (about an hour from now) and see if the Christmas lights are on in town. It is a nice clear evening for a quick outside stroll. Lunch was pumpkin rice and corn breads, nice and easy to make and not too full on the stomach. So we could walk it all off. Good thing cause we have fresh bread and I'm a glutton when it comes to fresh bread. Hope you had a fantastic Sunday and that your weekend time was good to you
