I'm in big trouble

Last Sunday my peace of mind is disturbed because one of my students in tutorial wants to stop just because I failed to tutor him this Sunday. The whole day Monday I don't feel well because I feel depress with that issue. Because of that I fail to lock the front door of my store. My brother notice it in dawn when he is going to work. He called saying the store is open. I get up and feel so worried. Thank goodness I leave the store open overnight but nothing was stolen. If a bad person sees my store open at night I will really be in big trouble. My printer is still there the foods or snacks are still there nothing get stolen. Thanks be to God for protecting my store.

It's understandable to get down or distracted when we're busy or upset, so my suggestion would be to put a reminder on the door, inside and outside, so you always remember to lock your store and prevent losing any valuable.

This is definitely a lesson to me that I have a tendency to not lock the store fully when I have anxiety or worries. This will teach me a lesson to always make sure I lock everything before leaving the store

@averygirl72 I hope you can put up the sign soon on both sides of the door. That way, you can see it and remember every day.

I am glad nothing was stolen from your stores. Try to relax, may be the student already wanted to stop and this is an excuse.

I think you can find another student to teach. Why not try to teach online?

@averygirl72 That's great. I graduated from having this kind of setup. I used to have 1:1 classes offline with Korean students.

I think you don't have to be annoyed by a student, students come and go,it's normal.Just let him go if he wanna stop learning from you.I am surprised you pay so much attention to one student's going.Relieve youself, that isn't a big trouble.

@averygirl72 ,yes, that is a constant principle students come and go,don't care about missing one student. His going shouldn't affect your emotion.

That’s his problem if he wants to quit. If you had a good reason, he is just going to have to accept it. You wouldn’t risk losing a student unless the session had to be missed. It was a blessing your store was not robbed, and you can take that, and make a fresh start from today on. It WILL be okay.
