Apricot flowers

Browsing through my collections I found this beautiful photo of apricot flowers. The flowers as you can see are stuck together which means that the fruits would also be stuck together. Apricots do not grow here but they are my favourite fruit. We buy sun dried apricots and also dried fruit. I have to soak apricots in sugar syrup as they are far too dry to eat them Image credit: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Apricot_blossom_detail1.jpg

My stepmom’s sister-in-law always brings us apricots from her backyard, and we never can eat them all.

Beautiful blossoms, thank you. Have you tried Turkish apricots? They are also dried, but very much softer. They also taste good stewed with cardamom and cinnamon.
