Slump to the Bed

I honestly going to say that I usually feel slumpy at 3:00 PM every day. So, I need to take a nap around 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to boost my energy. If not, it will be a huge struggle to teach my students online at night. That is the best option for me to do. As much as possible, I need to sleep at least 8 hours a day. What time of day do you usually experience a slump? When you sense that your vitality is declining, what do you do? Image Credit: static.vecteezy.com

My schedule is the same. I get sleepy around 1 pm and try to fight it. I just take a nap. I'm trying to change my sleep schedule. I don't want to be sleepy during the day.

If I am really sleepy, I need to take a nap as much as possible. Drinking a cup of coffee cannot do the trick. The caffeine is not enough to make me stay awake.

Since I am working with two companies, my sleeping pattern has changed. I cannot sleep 8 hours straight from night to morning. So, taking a nap is the course of action to maintain a duration of 8 hours.

I don’t function well on less than 8 hours of sleep either. Unfortunately I got about 4 hours last night.

As of today, I just had 5 hours of sleep. But I need to sleep later again. I am like you in that I cannot function well because of a lack of sleep.

I always get up at 5 in the morning and I feel that my energy is decreasing by 5 in the afternoon. I slow down, but I never take naps.

I noticed that the slump will kick in at 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. I can take a nap during the day, but not at night. The classes are straight from 4:00 p.m. to midnight.

@Shavkat 4 p.m. to midnight it's a long and hard time, you have to rest for sure before the classes.

It depends on how early I got up. I was up at 7 AM today so I took a napt around 1 PM. Working hard at writing and researching online sometimes makes me a bit tired and I need a break,

I can feel you. The good thing with my online classes, I can have 5-minute break. I sometimes feel tired if the student is a slow learner. It needs more effort to teach them. For the day, I still need to have 8 hours sleep.

My nap is in the morning around 10, if possible. There are days when I don't get a nap due to other activities. Without a nap, I'm falling asleep around 7. I don't want to go to bed so early, so I do what I can to stay awake until my normal bedtime between 8:30-9.

My sleeping pattern changed when I had two companies to work with. I am not complaining because humans do adapt to changes. But then, I really need to sleep 8 hours at least every day.

@just4him Since October this year, my sleeping pattern has changed because of working with two companies. I am not complaining because it is better to have two jobs than nothing, and I thank God for it.

I am not a day time napper. My energy level is pretty consistent throughout the day.

I am glad that you are. I guess I got used to sleeping 8 hours every day. When I was young, I used to get zits from a lack of sleep.

It is like China and Japan. They take a nap after having their lunch. I find it fascinating, and I do it, too.

I usually go to sleep at 1 a.m. But I need to wake up at 4:30 AM to prepare my niece's lunchbox. I will have morning classes from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. I will sleep again until 12:00 PM and wake up until my classes from 4:00 PM to midnight. If I am lucky, I will take a nap again at 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
