I have enjoyed the majority of my Christmases. I think one I recall really liking was when my son was little and we were able to give him a lot of really nice Christmas toys. Another one was when I got a set of books from my mom called Willow books. They were novels for teens which I was at the time, and most of them were wonderful. I guess you would call them coming of age stories. I loved those books and re read them alot. Any favorite Christmas memories for you?

Oh yeah, that would have been a good one! A few months before I had my open heart surgery in 1967, I got a bike for my birthday and a dog for Christmas.

@AmbiePam Not as .much as it would have been for an older or younger person. I was 9..old enough to know it had to be done, but not afraid of everything that could go wrong like a teen or an adult.

My best Christmas have been those with my parents. Not when I was a kid, even if I have good memories. But when I was a teenager and later when I was married and we all met at my parents house for the Christmas Eve dinner that ended late. We waited for midnight and opened the presents.

Yes, Christmas spent with family is special We used to go to a big extended family celebration on Christmas Eve and although when I was young I mostly hated it, as I grew older though I learned to appreciate it.

@LadyDuck Yes, there is something calming about being in the home where you grew up. I like to go there as well. Lots of memories, most of them good.

@snowy22315 - I was so happy to go in the apartment where I grew to visit my Mom. I miss it now that Mom is no more and the apartment has been sold.

If there is something I especially like or speaks to me I will reread it.I don't do it that often though.

Yes I have. It was the last Christmas I spent with my mother before leaving town seeking greener pastures.

The only Christmas memory I have is sitting on Santa's lap at home (I think it was my uncle) and asking him about the tape on his beard. He said, "I cut myself shaving". Back then that made sense to me. lololol

Ha, that's funny. Although I must have done it,I don't really have a memory of sitting on Santa's lap. I was at events where Santa was present when I was young, so I am 99 percent sure I did, I just don't remember.

Maybe you can think of something to create some new ones.

I do not know if have favorite memory, just remember being young and liked that time of year. People became nicer and of course all of the presents to get to try out on a cold day.
Now I am a corrupted adult and everything feels forced and not natural as when I was a kid if that makes sense.

I always enjoyed visits to my grandpa and grandma's houses. We had some great feasts!
