What's for lunch? Friday December 8th, 2023

I guess this could technically go under the "Frugal Food" category, but it wasn't as frugal as I like to be when we go out to eat in order to post about it. So it's just a boring post about what we had for lunch. I wasn't that hungry, so we stopped at McDonald's. Save the lecture. I know it's not great for me. But with how often I actually have an appetite, you can lay off and let me eat whatever I Want. LOL Anyway, Chris gets the same thing every time we go. Well usually. He got a Quarter Pounder with cheese and bacon meal. I got my usual for just about anywhere we go these days. My stomach can't handle cheeseburgers anymore. Well my gallbladder cant. I got a double McChicken, with mayo, shredded lettuce, cheese and bacon. I usually just add the cheese and second patty depending on how hungry I am. But bacon sounded good today. Lunch was $17.xx and I had a free fry and drink. So it was acutally way cheaper than that. WE only paid for Chris sandwich and mine. So after that it was $9.xx. So I guess it was pretty frugal. What did you have for lunch today?

No complaints from me. I actually like McDonald's. I don't even care if it IS good for me. When I want a greasy burger, that's what I am having.

When it's done right its good. But people don't care about their jobs anymore and its evident in the quality of food they produce. I'd rather go to Whataburger.

@porwest I think kit's better than In and Out. Which is the age old question. I was not exactly impressed with In and Out. I grew up in the PNW but spent summers in Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucy and the Carolinas. AS well as many states in between. So I grew up with all the chains. ' I remember when we got a Sonic and a Krispy Kreme in Vacncouver WA and people lined up around the block and for miles. Sonic is not that good. And I'd rather have Dunkin than KK any day. But to each their own.

@thislittlepennyearns We don't have any Whataburgers around here, but I have eaten there before. It didn't strike me as "Wow," but it's not a place I don't like. I actually wanted to go to one when we were staying in Kennesaw, Georgia, but we wound up eating Taco Bell instead.

@Deepizzaguy You will feel better if you do. I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life, but I never see you eat any vegetables when you say anything about food.

I have been reduced to instant noodles and spaghetti. Finally tomorrow I will be able to order my groceries and will most likely feel like stuffing half of everything into my mouth right away My gallbladder is long gone having been removed.

I can't eat instant noodles like Ramen anymore. Way too much salt. I guess I could forego the flavor packet, but then what would be the point?

My meal was frugal for lunch! My sister got some kind of burger, fries, and Diet Coke. I had a quarter-pounder with cheese fries and Sprite as a beverage as I don't eat or drink caffeine at all my sister had 20% off so it cost $12!

Quarter Poounders are always my favorite when it comes to McDonald's.
